The Annual Conference of People with Disabilities Ministry Network from Transilvania – A Retrospective

October 18, 2014 was a special day for me.
I attended The Annual Conference of People with Disabilities Ministry Network from Transylvania, at the Pentecostal Church in the town of Bogata, Cluj (near Turda).
The motto of the meeting was a verse from Job 22:21 “Now acquaint yourself with Him and be at peace; thereby good will come to you.” God spoke to me personally, and to those present, using his servants, who spoke words of comfort and encouragement, and He made a call to serve people with disabilities.
I understood that “There is something more serious than a disability namely not knowing God – it is worse not to know God, than having a disability.”
During the conference, I was able to hear the teachings of the Bible, about life and how to serve people with disabilities. A brother told us about Mephibosheth, about his life and about his invitation to the king’s table. Although Mephibosheth had a disability the king has made no difference between him and the other guests at the table. The brother made reference to the fact that today the Great King, God of Heaven and Earth, invites us all to his table. The invitation is valid for everyone, who wants to sit at God’s table.
During the allocated testimonies we heard how wonderful it is to forgive those who did wrong to us, fulfilling the Word that tells us to forgive our debtors, so that our Heavenly Father will forgive us for our mistakes.
When you have God by your side, even a disability can be seen as a blessing. The music, the testimonies, the words spoken by our brothers and the time of prayer created a blessed atmosphere in God’s presence.
Time was measured just as a glass is and each of the speakers poured a little while they were talking. Finally, the cup was filled and then overflowed to the joy of those willing and thirsty for the Word of God and His works.
It was great pleasure for me to reunite with those who are part of the Caritatea family and to enjoy together.
Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen!
